The Study and Comparison of the Mean of Oral Steriognosis in Celft Palate and Normal

As soon as the oral steriognosis has important role in speech development, in this research our purpose is study and comparison of oral steriognosis average in cleft palate and normal 5-9 year old children. This research was done in a cross-sectional and analytic method. The subjects included 66 normal and 30 cleft palate children 5-9 year. The variables include age, sex, cleft palate, different kinds of clefts and numbers of palate surgeries. 1-In two groups of children, the ability of oral steriognosis is difference. 2-There is a direct relationship between age and oral steriognosis. 3-There is no relationship between sex and oral steriognosis. 4-There is opposite relation between the number of palate surgeries and oral steriognosis. Strengthen of oral steriognosis can affect speech disorders in cleft palate children.
