Investigation the Effect of Electromagnetic on Emitters Clogging at Irrigation with Agricultural Wastewater
Emitters clogging is one of the main problems of trickle irrigation systems. In order to decrease this problems negative effects, the use of magnetized water beside the use of water filtering systems is proposed. The current study investigated the effect of using well water and magnetized wastewater on emitters clogging at Sari Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University (SANRU). The experiment was arranged during 10 irrigation periods at 2016 in split-split plot based on completely randomized block design with 3 replications in which water types were main factor (non-magnetized water, magnetized water, magnetized agricultural wastewater and non-magnetized agricultural wastewater) and the emitter type (Netafim, Polirood, Irritec, Axios, Corona and Paya) as the sub factor. The results of the analysis of variances showed that the effect of irrigation water and type of irrigation water on the emitters discharge, uniformity coefficient and variation coefficient of emitters was significant at 1% probability level. According to the results the Netafim and Axios emitters had the best and worst discharge and uniformity conditions with an average discharge reducing of 20.19% and 28.48% respectively. The uniformity coefficient of emitters in well water with electromagnetic in comparison with well water without electromagnetic was 0.25% and 7.27% more at the beginning and the end of the irrigation respectively. In addition, it was 0.9% and 14.05% more at the beginning and the end of the irrigation respectively for agricultural wastewater with electromagnetic in comparison with agricultural wastewater without electromagnetic. The amount of emitter's discharge and uniformity coefficient in wastewater treatment was 8% and 10% lower than well water treatment, respectively. The amount of discharge reducing in non-magnetized agricultural wastewater as compared to magnetized agricultural wastewater in Corona, Netafim, Axios and Irritec was equal to 11%, 9%, 9% and 11%, respectively. Also, the discharge reducing in non-magnetized well water as compared to magnetized well water in Corona, Netafim, Axios and Irritec was equal to 8%, 10%, 9% and 7%, respectively.
