The present study examined the mediating role of the self- esteem in relation between the personality and job performance among teachers of Marvdasht city. The present study was conducted on 300 teachers from Marvdasht, city. A cross-sectional and correlational survey design was used. McCrare & Costas Big five personality factor Scale, cooper smiths self-esteem Inventory and paterrsons job performance scale was used to assess the variables. The data obtained for the variables under study have been subjected to different statistical analysis such as Pearson correlation and multi variable regression to understand the impact and relationship between the variables. Pearson correlation of the personality sub-scale and self-esteem revealed that the extroversion, agreeable, the desire for new experiences, deontology ha d a positive and significant relation with self esteem and job performance. The neuroticism had a negative and significant relation with the self esteem and job performance. Self-esteem had a positive and significant relation with the job performance .The multi variable regression revealed that the self-esteem had a mediating role in relation between the personality and job performance
