Abstract:
Comprehending "Araaf" and "Araaf men", is a challenging problem amongst the interpreters when they want to interpret Araaf chapter due to multiple different opinions. However, most of those don't have enough traditional and Quranic supporting documents. In this article, we studied different ideas of interpreters and divided them into two main categories. Studying and comparing Araaf verses with the Araaf chapter context, and related traditions, we concluded: First, the word “Araaf” means veiled castelled between heavenly and hellish people. Secondly, Araaf can imply “seraat” which itself needs more research. Thirdly, between two ideas related to objects of Araaf men, "prophets and their close group of followers" and "the man by equal goods and bads", the first idea is closer to context of tradition and verses. But the second idea is not enough reliable, according to the context of "Araaf" chapter and disjointed traditional documents.
