Abstract:
The emergence of children's magazines in Iran dates back to Iranian Constitutional era. These magazines introduced readers to the life and education of children in western societies encouraging a critical look at their own life and others. A major part of fictional literature of the magazine were selected and translated from foreign sources. Discourse practices of journals like KB were formed by the social, political and cultural structures, especially power and domination. Thus, this research is conducting a discourse analysis of the magazine in a time period of five years before and after Islamic Revolution of Iran in order to study production, consumption, the discipline of discourse governing the cause and effect and how discourses were activated for a specific interpretation. Moreover, the possible effects and influences of this magazine on the social and political events leading to the revolution.
