The Relation between Crititcal Thinking and Indentity Styles (informational, normative and avoidable) among High School Students in Nazarabad

in this research we have tried to examine the relation between critical thinking and identity styles. present research is correlation and its population is all the first grade high school students in Nazarabad. Its sample includes 320 first grade high school students in Nazarabad and they were chosen through multistage cluster sampling. California Critical Thinking Skills Test (CCTST) and White’s Identity Style Questionnaire have been used to collect the data. And the data collected through these tools were analysed at a descriptive level including mean, median, standard deviation and correlation. this research shows that there is a meaningful and direct relation between critical thinking and informational style. The results also show that there is no relation between critical thinking and normative and avoidable style. So we can infer that identity and critical thinking should be considered widely in educational planning.
