An Analysis of computer games’ function in improving U.S. soft power

‎‎ The world of videogame is very beautiful and absorbing which could fascinate millions of human ‎throughout the world and everady its audience increases. Nonetheless, there is a fundamental ‎question: what is the main aim of production of these games? Whether the production of these ‎games is only for entertainment or there are other goals behind them. Location, story and ‎characterization of some of these games are so that the players are doubtful about that the goal of ‎production of these games. The aim of this article is to responding to this ‎question and will assess these games in two sections. The first section is the war in Islamic countries ‎that is related to games which their story will happen in Islamic countries. The second section is about ‎the future wars which assess the games which will happen their story in near future. We used ‎analytic-descriptive method in this article and the most important conclusion of this study is that these ‎games help to improve U.S. soft power and could influence the mentality of audience and change ‎their beliefs. Moreover, these games will preparing the ground for west and especially U.S. policy and ‎show them legitimate. ‎
