Abstract:
Introduction
In recent years the development and organization of pedestrian spaces, particularly in big cities, have been greatly considered. In Tehran and in the area of 12 of Tehran road with pedestrian streets since of 15 Khordad good opportunity for development and urban tourism facilities are provided. This is a significant point in research on Pedestrian, Yet Particular the effects of tourism on city sidewalks nothing has been done; So do the necessary research To check how much effectiveness necessary to improve the level of tourism.
Materials and Methods
This work is a descriptive-analytic research and The survey method was conducted.Information Information Required from Various sources of literature AndField studies. By using three types of questionnaires to three groups of tourists, businessmen and experts are Achieved data analysis Spss21 software using statistical methods such as one-sample t-test, ANOVA, multiple regression was done.Discussion and
Results
The findings indicated the undeniable impact of Panzdah-e-Khordad pedestrian zone in the social, economic and spatial development of District 12, Tehran. The mean of each component represents the above-average impact of pedestrian zones on area security, tourist attraction, and increased awareness of people to the tourism attractions as well as the socio-cultural development of Panzdah-e-Khordad Street from the viewpoints of tourists.The effects of the implementation of Pedestrian in increasing employment diversification, adjustment of prices of goods, creating new job opportunities and economic development Region is too moderate;So in terms of tourists sidewalks of 15 Khordad could not play an important role in the economic development of the Zone of 15 Khordad From the perspective of experts, the impact of pedestrian zones establishment on the spatial, economic and socio-cultural development is above average. Pearson correlation coefficient findings show that there is a significant and positive relationship between pedestrian zones establishment and spatial, economic and socio-cultural development of District 12, Tehran, from the perspective of shopkeepers.
Conclusions
One of the urban tourism development solutions is the use of various potentials of pedestrian zones, as the tourists often walk in urban areas to perceive the landscape, aesthetic elements, and historical, cultural, artistic and social influence of the city. Today in Iran, with gradual domination of cars over the urban spaces and roads, the socio-cultural values and attractions of the urban spaces have been declined. Hence, the development and organization of pedestrian spaces, particularly in big cities, have been greatly considered. In 2009, the Panzdah-e-Khordad Street turned to the pedestrian zone by blocking the passage of vehicles from Galoobandak Crossroads to Naser Khosrow Street. This article entitled “Examining Impact of Pedestrian Zones Establishment on Sustainable Tourism Development” evaluates the Panzdah-e-Khordad pedestrian zone in the economic, socio-cultural and spatial development of District 12, Tehran.
