Abstract:
Kafi is one of the most important authentic narrative writings of Imamiyah and has always been referred to by the great Shiite scholars since its writing. This special position has led Dr. Nasser ibn Abdullah Qafari, a contemporary Wahhabi scholar, to criticize the work in his book, Principles of Shiite Doctrine. Referring to some of the narrations, he regards a large part of the book as the result of the writing of later Shiite scholars, and based on some traditions that are weak or in need of explanation in terms of a document or text. He has described this work full of narratives indicating the distortion of Quran and then he criticizes it. This paper, by examining Qafari’s documents, shows that the entire Kafi has been written by Koleyni, and the narrations that Qafari referred to them does not have any purpose to distort the Quran, but indicates that Shiite Imams have full knowledge of all the outer and inner meanings of Qur'an.
