Abstract:
The run-on line technique is one of the musical instruments that old and modern poets have used in the rhythmic structure of their odes, which in classical concept means to divide a word into two bit line poem. But rhymed poetry is entirely different in the meaning to his old form. In rhymed poetry it means divided between the two parts of a verse That plays an important role in enriching of the musical and connotative structure of the contemporary Arabic ode. In this research effort is to examine the phenomenon of the "run-on line" and the its musical and connotation role in the Collection "nuqoosh ala jith᾿I nakhla” Yahia Al Samawy -As an example of contemporary Arabic poetry. And during the investigation it was determined that the run-on line has prominent presence in the Collection and isn’t a prosodic phenomenon, but it enriches poetic discourse of poet in different ways. Also, due to its relation to other phenomena, such as parallel rhythm, rhyme element and metric, has Prominent role in enriching of the musical structure and odes coherence. And it causes away from odes monotony and its enjoyment of the beautiful and melodic structure.
