Identifying and determining the main factors of technology development using interpretive structural modeling(ISM)

One of the reasons for failure and backwardness in the industry is the impossibility and readiness of technology development. Considering the  importance of the topic of identifying the factors influencing the development of technology, in this study, by reviewing the literature, these factors were  identified. Among 45 effective factors identified, the important ones were determined in the form of 17 main factors by using the opinions of the experts in the small and medium industries of Guilan province. Then, the relationships between these factors were analyzed using interpretive structural modeling (ISM) technique; their ranks and levels, and the model of relationships among the key factors were determined. The results of leveling and investigating the effective factors showed that the ones of regarding the technology integration  approach in order for the advent of technological innovations, managerial mechanisms and organizational infrastructures, technological entrepreneurship, and the main functions of diffusion and dissemination of technology are among the main factors of technology development in the small and medium industries that should be paid more attention.
