Abstract:
In this paper, we propose a tool-supported approach for carrying out the literature review in behavioral science research. Review of literature has proved to be a problematic stage for researchers, especially for early career ones. In this model, both a technological tool and a few conceptual tools are introduced such as activity system model, PRISMA model, a model for inclusion and exclusion of literature and a model for search phrases. This technological-conceptual model is then integrated with a model for scoping review and finally, an example illustrates the whole procedure. In addition to simplifying the job of literature review, the model presented in this paper provides a solid ground for systematic study of the literature, a thematic analysis of that, exploring contradictions and conflicts in the literature to picture future steps in that domain and for a clear and comprehensive illustration of the subject under study in the literature
