The study of the quality of the relationship between religion and modernity and its requirements in the thinking of Bent al-Hoda Sadr

This paper, titled as “Examining the quality of the relationship between religion and modernity and its requirements in the thinking of Bent al-Hoda Sadr", seeks to discover the correct view on the relationship between religion and modernity. In this regard, there are three theories, which are stated briefly as: complete conflict, complete adaptation, and the trend of Islamic rationality, and we believe in the third theory, the trend of Islamic rationality. After examining the view of this trend believing in a partial conflict between Islam and modernity, we express the requirements for the realization of this theory in the works of Bent al-Hoda Sadr. These requirements include: the cultural pathology of the Islamic community, lack of Westoxification and Westernization, and efforts to strengthen the intellectual and practical power of Muslims.
