A new look at the feasibility of sex change from the perspective of medicine and jurisprudence

One of the emerging issues that is considered in today’s world by the human community including religious thinkers and the medical community is the problem of sex change. Sex change means to change each gender of male and female to the opposite sex. Considering that the person’s gender is effective and important in many jurisprudential aspects and legal issues and it is being done a lot in today’s society specially Iran, it seems to be necessary to clarify its position in all aspects including jurisprudential and legal; so that we can identify the subject and solve the problem by examining and exploring this phenomenon accurately and explaining the possibility of such a change in the real world and understanding the criterion for determining the sex of an individual. The purpose of the article is to prove this claim that firstly, the subject of sex change is only applicable for those who are healthy and neutral psychologically. Secondly, the true and complete change which is the basis of the permission in the words of most jurisprudents is not possible in the real world and its permission is only for those who are neutral psychologically in the cases of necessity and just for relief and treatment.
