Provide a Model for academic achievement based on Internet addiction, personality traits, social self-efficacy and spiritual intelligence

This study aims to provide a model for academic achievement based on Internet addiction, personality traits, social self-efficacy and spiritual intelligence wased. 225 students of Jondi Shapour University of Medical Sciences Ahvaz were selected using multi-stage cluster sampling method and completed Internet addiction, social self-efficacy and spiritual intelligence NEO personality questionnaires, academic achievement was measured by GPA students. Assess the model proposed of research with path analysis and using were the software SPSS19 and AMOS20 and to determine mediated relationships significant by Macro Parichehr and Hayes bootstrap method is used. The results showed that Internet addiction on extraversion, conscientiousness, social self-efficacy, spiritual intelligence and academic achievement were negative and significant direct effect but on neuroticism is significant and positive direct effects. Conscientiousness and social self-efficacy positive and direct effect on academic achievement and neuroticism is negative and significant direct effect on academic achievement. Also indirect effect Internet addiction through conscientiousness, neuroticism and social self-efficacy on academic achievement significantly but through extroversion and spiritual intelligence were not significant. Results showed the proposed model is a good fit with the data. Conscientiousness and social self-efficacy by playing a protective role, can neutralize harmful effects of Internet addiction on their academic achievement, while neuroticism may exacerbate these effects.
