Assessing the Agricultural Consulting Services Companies Educators' Information Seeking Behavior and Affective Factors (The Case of Ilam Province)

The purpose of this study was to assessing of agricultural consulting services companies educators' information seeking behavior and in Ilam province and factors affecting it. The research method was correlation and used survey method. The statistical population consisted of agricultural educators (N =950). By using Krejcie and Morgan's (1970) Tale, 175 agricultural educators were selected as sample (n =175). Samples were selected through proportional stratified sampling method. A questionnaire used to collect the data. Content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed based on opinions of some of agricultural extension and education experts. Cronbach's alpha coefficient for different parts of the questionnaire was higher than 0.79 The research’s result showed that the average level of information seeking behavior (Average 2.81) was weak. The findings of regressions revealed that the amount of amount of time the work with computer, amount of time the work with internet Proficiency in English and GPA degree varieties explained 29 percent of the variation in information seeking behavior.
