Abstract:
Purpose
In this study, deliberate destruction and damage -which is typical vandalism- caused by the equipment of the university library.
Methodology
This study was conducted with a qualitative approach and content analysis method. The sample for the study library -men and women- What is the Shahid Bahonar university central library who suffered from vandalism. The sample of the unique sampling of the entire collection method chosen.
Finding
The findings show that the handwritten content Vandalism equipment Shahid Bahonar university Central Library reading rooms in four categories consisted of expression, political slogan, feedback and memorabilia available categories. Each of these main categories, sub-categories their own. Check The content of this field suggest that the intention of these acts of destruction and negativity there and members of the library as an outlet for communication and information have seen. The findings of this study can be noted that this case is more common among male students in library vandalism.
