Reviewing the Impact of Regional Inequalities on Objective Security in Provinces of Iran

The issue of security, for long, has been among the most important issues that have been center of attention and its relevant aspects and issues have been subject to a lot of changes during the time. Over the recent decades, a new concept of security which is totally different from that of previous periods has emerged. That is to say that security has various aspects, and is not merely bound to military aspect, in addition security ca not be just achieved through reliance on military power and force. The existing regional inequalities all over the society are among the factors that impact objective security in a large scale in the society. Base on what has been explained, it can be said that the topic of this article is «Reviewing the impact of existing regional inequalities on objective security of Iran›s provinces». The analysis level of the research is a master level, and research analysis level is provinces of Iran. The statistical community of the research includes all the 31 provinces of Iran. Secondary analysis method has been used in this research. The research findings indicate that among provinces in Iran, Tehran province has the highest level of objective security, and Khuzestan province has the lowest level of objective security. In terms of regional inequality, given their population ,Alborz on one hand ,and Kohkilooyeh and Bouyer Ahmad, and Yazd provinces on the other, have respectively had the most and the least inequality among the 31 provinces of Iran. The research findings also indicate that there is significant relationship between variable of regional inequality and variable of security, and almost 0.36 of the variance of objective security of provinces is emanated from regional inequality. It is also noteworthy that cultural, social and economic inequalities have had the highest impact on objective security of the provinces, respectively. Meanwhile, regional inequality has had the most impact on cultural, social and economic aspects of objective security, and the impact of regional inequality on economic aspect of security has not been significant.
