Reviewing the Role of Police in Social Prevention from Crime (Case Study: Zone 2 and12 of Tehran Municipality)

Social prevention refers to a series of measures aimed at neutralizing factors impacting occurrence of crime; and this means interference in social public environments such as educational, economic, cultural and political environments; and in social personal environments such as family, neighborhood, etc. Given the importance of the issue of prevention and police's various and important functions in crime prevention; the present research aims at identifying the role of police in social prevention from crime; and finding the answer to this question:"What are the police major functions in social prevention and determining the level of the impact of these functions in crime prevention".
