Scientometrics Study of Scientific Production of The Journal of Tax Research

Abstract The purpose of this article is to scientometrics study of scientific production of the journal of tax research as the only scientific journal of the field of tax knowledge in Iran between 2008 - 2018. The data were collected using a check list tool and statistical analyzed using excel software. Results show that during the years studied, 626 authors contributed to the production of 273 articles, of which 484 were men and 142 women. considering the level of education and scientific ranking of the authors, MA degree with 42% and assistant professors with 28% are in the top of the ranking list of authors. In the meantime, 15% of articles have only one author and 85% are the results of grouping work. Among the universities and scientific centers, Allameh Tabataba'i University with 27 articles ranked first and Islamic Azad University of Central Tehran Branch, along with the Office of Tax Studies and Research, with 16 papers ranked second. In terms of topic orientation, 11% of the publications are in the field of evaluation of staff and tax departments and corporate income tax with 7.3%, and tax evasion with 6.6% in the next rank.
