Abstract:

The present article tries to critique the book " Autodidacts Art, A Naive Art". This book is the first Persian compilation one in this field, which has been used as a qualified reference and educational help text. Therefore, the critical review of this book would not be innecessary. The main claims of the author are to define the Naive Arts and their categorization, also to propose the theoretical debates around these kind of the arts. In this way, the author intends to achieve several goals, such as drawing a history of the origin and introducing some of the most important artists in this trend.At first, the article explores the content categorization of the book and critisize the boundaries and the relation of the proposed concepts. By redrawing the author's initial pattern then, this article  presents a methodology analysis to establish the foundation of the book. The strengths and innovations, as well as the ambiguities and weaknesses of the book would be discussed at the end of the essay.
