The relationship between communication skills and teachers’ quality of life
One of the skill that teachers need to have is the communication skills that this skill set can have a great impact on their professional performance. The purpose of this qualitative paper was to investigate the relationship between communication skills and teachers’ quality of life. The population included 1400 teachers who teach in Isfahan and by using Krejcie and Morgan table, the sample size was estimated to be 300 teachers. Data were collected using quality of life questionnaires (SF-36) and Burton's communication skills. The results of this study showed that there was no significant difference between communication skills among women and men teacher, and also the marital status of teachers did not have an effect on communication skills, but there was a significant difference between communication skills and the level of education of teachers. Also, there was a significant relationship between communication skills and dimensions of teachers’ quality of life. Finally, some suggestions presented to increase the use of communication skills among teachers in order to improve the quality of life indicators .
