Internal Evaluation of Students' Educational Needs Based on Social Capital and Its Role in Their Perception of the Educational Environment: Case Study: Shiraz University
The main purpose of this study is to consider the prediction of the students' perception of academic departments on the bases of their perception of available social capital of different faculties at Shiraz University. The statistical population of this project contains all of the students of Shiraz University, by the use of cluster sampling method after the selection of Faculty of Science, Psychology and Engineering as the research sample. All the bachelor students of the selected faculties answered the questionnaires completely. The research instruments were social capital questionaries (TorkZadeh & Mohtaram, 2012) and students' perception of academic climates (Ralf et al, 1997) that was gathered distributed after validity and reliability calculations. The received data were analyzed by the descriptive and inferential statistics method. The results demonstrated that the average social and the educational atmosphere desirability and each of their dimensions from the students' point of view are less than average means (Q3). The students' perception of academic climate is predicated through social capital. Hence, the results represented the positive and meaningful relationship between the students' perception of social capital and academic climate.
