Correction of Shiraz Namazi Intersection Geometric Design by the help of Aimsun Simulator

Intersections are established for easy crossing and construction repairing. Since high traffic congestion end to intersection, therefore consideration should be taken on geometric design such as safety, speed and capacity and soon. Simulator are using in traffic engeenering extensively. New ideas in management, traffic control are the main cause of using simulators. Aismund is software which presents static traffic tool, mezoschopic simulator and microscopic simulator of transportation. In this article, Shiraz Namazi intersection was simulated by Aimsun software. With the data of the software, traffic congestion, traffic movement and crossing was analyzed. In the end, with these data, effective variables for changing intersection geometric design are provided. And presented suggestion by diagrams and charts was presented.
