Evaluating the Effect of Mode Choice Variables in Reducing the Share of Personal Vehicles
Public transportation and its successful behavior is surely a sign of sustainable transportation network and development. In recent years many policies and transportation plan has been carried out to mitigate private car prioritize policies, a decision maker or a transport users to public vehicles such as bus and metro. But, in order to planner should know which policy makes better use of the resources. This paper is presented to evaluate such policies and to show how these policies actually work motivating users to switch to public transportation. Results show that policies such as increasing parking cost or cordon pricing perform best compared to others.
