The Relationship between Job Satisfaction, Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior among Employees of a Half-Private Company in Hormozgan Province
The purpose of the present paper was to study the relationship between job satisfaction, organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior among employees of a half-private company in Hormozgan Province. Among all of the employees, (798 individuals) 150 people were selected by random stratified sampling method as research sample. The research data were collected by using the Job Descriptive Index, Organizational Commitment Questionnaire, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior Questionnaire. From 150 distributed questionnaires, 147(%98) questionnaires have been used for statistical analysis. This study, according to its nature , is a descriptive-correlational research. Descriptive statistics methods (mean and standard deviation), and inferential statistics methods (Pearson correlation coefficient, multiple regression and t-test) have been used for data analysis, and 0.05 % was considered as significance level. The results showed that the relationships between job satisfaction, and organizational commitment, as well as job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior, and also organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior were significant. Also there was relationship among several aspects of the three main variables of this study. Furthermore, the findings showed that job satisfaction, and organizational commitment could foresee 21 percent of organizational citizenship behavior variance, but the role of organizational commitment was higher.
