Pathology of moral education in contemporary Iran
Moral education, due to its role in the growth and excellence of individuals and societies, has long been the focus of the scriptures, religious and non-religious prophets and thinkers. This issue has also been considered in the upstream documents of the Iranian education system. However, the field study shows the degree of adherence of individuals in Iranian society to moral values, a huge gap between the moral development of individuals in society and the content and moral capacities in our religious and national resources. Therefore, this study seeks to diagnose the pathology of moral education in contemporary Iran and to express strategies to deal with these injuries. The method of this research is descriptive-analytical and by referring to written sources and interviewing experts. The findings of this study show that the harms of moral education in contemporary Iran can be assessed in several ways: 1. Personal injuries; 2. Injuries caused by the family system; 3. Injuries caused by the educational system; 4. Injuries caused by economic, social and political factors. Therefore, ways to deal with these injuries are presented in several areas: 1. The role of individuals; 2. The role of families; 3. The role of educational, training and cultural institutions; 4. The role of the media; 5. The role of Islamic government; 6. The role of all officials and effective institutions in moral education.
