The effect of yoga exercises on the profile of blood serum lipid in policewomen
Most death and psychological pressure in different countries with signs of cardiovascular diseases, like high blood pressure and increase blood cholesterol have harmful forms. The overall goal of this study was to evaluate the effect of yoga training on levels of blood serum lipid profile women 30 to 45 years.
Thirty women (45-30 years) of the Police Command of Qom city in the year 1396 were randomly selected from the sedentary individuals who scored higher than the average in the relevant mental health assessment questionnaire and were divided into two experimental and control groups. Experimental group yoga conducted (8 weeks, 3 sessions per week and each session 75 minutes) and Control group continued their daily activities. The data were analyzed using independent t-test. The significance level was considered as p≤0.05.
There was a significant decrease in low cholesterol (LDL) (p = 0.031), triglyceride (p = 0.02) and the ratio of total cholesterol to high density cholesterol (HDL) (p = 0.009) in the yoga group. It can be concluded that the pattern of yoga exercise activity has been shown to decrease cardiovascular risk factors, increase HDL, decrease TG and LDL.
