Abstract:

The weakness of visual perception skills and reduced visual memory leads to reading and math impairment. Therefore, it is essential to develop a test to achieve this goal

objective

the present study by the purpose of making and normalization of the test of cognitive ability has been accomplished for diagnosis of preschool students’ cognitive ability to achieve this purpose based on theorical literature, a test was prepared the test of cognitive ability has been formed of seven part :(the detection of objects is also a rhyme, understand the numbers of the image, write like a pattern, contact pictures) it’s content was confirmed by professor of psychology and consultants and then was performed on a sample of 206 preschool students. The questions were analyzed by suitable statistical method, and validity, reliability and normalized scores were determined.

Results

base on accomplished account the internal consistency coefficient of subscale of the detection of objects is also a rhyme, understand the numbers of the image, write like a pattern, contact pictures are , respectively, 0.51, 0.42, 0.73 and 0.50 and total scale of cognitive ability is 0.67. to determine the validity of construct and composing component of the tests methodology of the main component by rotation in varimax method was used which 4of them were nameble. Conformity factor analysis also was used to determined validity of factor, that the conformity factor analysis confirms that the structure of questionnaire has an acceptable fitness to data and also confirms all of the goodness of fit indices of model. Raw scores were converted to normalized scores(Z, T, IQ) T-test independently demonstrate that there is a significant difference between average scores of girl and boy students In factor of cognitive ability. To investigate concurrent validity, we used of visuospatial perception test. The results of Pearson test showed that there is a significant connection between these two variables. regarding to the obtained validity and reliability, cognitive ability test is a tool that can be used in learning disability and consultation centers
