The European Union's Security Strategy against WANA (Western Asian and North Africa)
Maintaining the stability and economic interests of the European Union as one of the three main economic and geo-political powers of the international system in Western Asia and North Africa have been faced with domestic, foreign, short and long-term challenges. This paper has examined the European Union's strategies to overcome the mentioned challenges. The common denominator of all the European Union's strategies have been a pressure mixed with support from the Union for the Mediterranean, European-Arabic political talks, initiatives to cooperate with the Northern African countries, parallel talks with the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Iran.
