Study of women’s Tazieh, The first play experience of iranian women
Women’s Ta’ziee is a genre of ritual performance that has been prevalent since the Qajar era in Iran. In this study, first, the status of women in these shows has been investigated and then its history, evolution and trends have been studied. The article is written in a “descriptive-analytic” way, and its research methodology is based on a thorough study of historical sources along with data collection and analysis. This study shows that women’s Ta’ziee was one of the first experiences of Iranian women in theater in the role of director. The experience however did not last despite its great value; After a berif popularity in the circles of aristocratic women in the Qajar period, it only continued in Pahlavi era in some towns and then faded and diminished.
