Assessment of Readiness for Knowledge Management Implementation

Today, knowledge of employee is a major competitive advantage and the most important asset of organizations. Therefore, management of these knowledge assets and organizational knowledge workers has been a priority for many organizations. The Ministry of Energy put establishment of knowledge management system on the agenda, with developing a comprehensive plan to integrate the knowledge management system in 2009 and then with the formation of the steering committee in 2011 . Regular and integrated activities in this regard began after the presence of the Secretary General of the Asian Productivity Organization and the preparation of an agreement to use the expert services of this organization in 2016. According to the above provisions, the purpose of this study is to investigate the level of knowledge management readiness in the electricity distribution company as one of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Energy. The present study is a descriptive survey in terms method and applicable in terms of the audience using it. In this study, after extracting the indicators, the content validity rate has been used for validation. At first, by examining the literature, 71 indicators were identified to review the infrastructure and process. After distributing 30 questionnaires for validation among experts, 14 indicators were removed and 57 other indicators were distributed as a questionnaire to assess the current situation. From the most important results, it was found that the average levels of technology readiness, human resources and leadership have the highest score among the infrastructures and the lowest score is related to the culture and formal structure of the organization. Regarding the indicators, the weakest indicators are the weakness of employees' trust in each other and the structure with high recognition.
