Negative Effects of Using Satellite Programs on Iranian Families
The purpose of this research has been inspecting the negative effects of using satellite programs on Iranian families. The research method was descriptive–investigative. In this research, the negative effects of using satellite was derived through library studies, including thesis, books, articles, magazines, publications, and profiles related to the satellite’s pathology, as well as interviewing with 50 sociology professors and experts of social issues via a questionnaire of 22 questions; then it was supplied to the research’s sample population, which included 50 social issues experts and professors of the scientific-practical university of Hamadan in social and behavioral sciences field. These had been chosen selectively, based on their job background, authorship and researches they had done. The research’s reliablity was estimated by the coefficient of Cronbach’s Alpha which was equal to 81%. Chi-squared and Freedman tests were used in order to analyze the data. The results showed that the most important harms of using satellites are propagation of unveiling and bad veiling, promoting consumption and being away from the simple life, circulating street friend and love, increasing unlawful relations out of the family environment, fainting of religious beliefs, using alcoholic drinks, propagation of homogenous affairs, excessive use of cosmetics, early puberty of children , in order of the rate of the harms, from high to low.
