Simulation of Detection and Identification of Air Threats in the Command and Control Systems

Abstract:
In the persent command and control systems which genrally act based on the OODA loop, the observation and identification systems are the premier and most essential parts. The recognition of the identification process and its strengths and weaknesses is made possible through constant and long-term study and the the simulation of detection processes makes it easier. This paper models the detection process completely through studying and simulating the present architecture of domestic C4I systems used in the military, especially in detection and identification section, and processes a new architecture for them. In the air threats detection and identification section, a statistical model of the process was explored and then the Bayesian method with random data generation via Arena software was used. The simulation results indicate a %7.3 improvement in the decision-making in propsed system compared to the present system.
