The Effect of Training on the Quality of Maritime Support Services with the Mediating Role of Training Transfer and Job Satisfaction Case Study: NAJA Maritime Support Center
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of training on the quality of marine support services with the role of training transfer and job satisfaction. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and also is a descriptive-survey. The statistical population of this study was the NAJA Maritime Support Center, which included the staff of the Marine Border Repair and Support Office of the coastal provinces (Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, Babolsar) that by using Cochran's formula, a sample size of 80 people was selected through simple sampling method. The data collection tool was a 27-item Shin and Tank Questionnaire (2018) in which the validity of the questionnaire was obtained through expertise and the relative content validity coefficient and reliability were obtained through Cronbach's alpha (0.7 and above). In order to test the normality of the data, skewness and elongation test were used and to examine the research hypotheses, structural equation modeling, and Sobel test was exerted. Also, the SPSS23 and Smart PLS2 software programs have been exploited in this study. The results show that job satisfaction is a mediator between education and service quality, education transfer is a mediator between education and service quality and finally, job satisfaction is a mediator between education transfer and service quality. Therefore, the managers of the organization under study should provide the necessary conditions for the development of skills training and appropriate transfer of training in order to increase the level of job satisfaction of employees, and improve the quality of services.
