Critical Reading of Metaphor in Contemporary Persian Rhetorical Books

Abstract:

Metaphor is one the most prominent devices of meaning in the word, that the first was considered by rhetoricians in order to discover the expressive miracle of the Qoran in Arabic. Then it found way in to Persian literature. Contemporary Persian rhetoricians in order to by imitation and sometimes by invention, divided the metaphor that due to the differences and contradictions that exist in them, this study paid attention to them. The authors of this essay want to study the types of metaphors based on proportionate by looking at metaphors from the beginning, with a critical reading of the views of contemporary rhetoricists in this field, because this case has been the confluence of many different perspectives. The results show that the efforts of Persian rhetorical books, there is still a comprehensive and worthy book in the field of rhetoric and the art of metaphor. Most author make mistake in choosing examples when writing their works. These errors despite their breadth and frequency can be easily and with a little precision solved in reference Arabic rhetoric books.
