The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Workplace Ostracism on Knowledge Hiding with respect to the mediating role of job Tension.
This study is based on the applied purpose and in terms of data collection in the field of descriptive causal-survey studies. The statistical population of this study consists of all staff of public hospitals in Lorestan province. Using stratified-random sampling method, 124 people were selected as the research sample. The data required in this study were collected using a standard questionnaire based on a 5 Likert scale. The data collected in this study were analyzed using structural equation modeling using Smart-Pls software.
The results of this study show that exclusion in the workplace can lead to the development of cognitive behaviors. Also, rejection through increased job stress can lead to the development of knowledge concealment.
In accordance with the results of this study, managers of service organizations should try to improve the social relations of individuals with each other by developing the culture and spirit of teamwork.
