Religiosity and Islamic Life Skills in Students
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of religiosity and Islamic life skills in students.
The method was quasi-experimental and pre-test-post-test with a control group. The statistical population includes all male students in the first year of high school in Ahvaz, 30 of whom were randomly selected and divided into two groups (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group). After completing Dindaripour Yousefi (1984) questionnaire, the experimental group was exposed to 16 sessions (two one-hour sessions per week) of Islamic life skills training, while the control group did not receive any intervention. Both nodes completed the questionnaire again in the post-test stage and the data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of covariance using SPSS18 software.
The results showed that the experimental group compared to the control group showed a significant increase in all components of religiosity.
Based on the findings, it can be concluded that teaching Islamic life skills can be used as one of the effective methods in promoting the level of religiosity of high school students.
