Childhood is the period of human personality formation. Therefore, the family which is the first social environment that the child faces, plays the first and most important role in his upbringing. A healthy family can reduce crime and thus prevent delinquency by intervening in the development of children and improving their living conditions. The religion of Islam, as the most complete divine religion, contains rich principles and methods of parenting, the observance of which in the dimensions of development, sociability and control, will guarantee the well-being of children, and leaving them will lead children and adolescents to delinquency and danger.
In this study, in the theoretical part, using religious sources, the most important indicators of religious parenting were extracted. In the field section, research hypotheses were tested with variables derived from theoretical foundations via survey method.
The results of this study indicate that the observance of the principles and indicators of religious parenting style has a significant difference between delinquent and non-delinquent children. Also, parenting has three basic areas of development, socialization and control, and in each of these areas, several influential variables have been extracted from verses and hadiths.
The mentioned programs are in the field of informing the families about the view of religion towards the upbringing and correcting the incorrect methods of parenting in order to apply the orders and recommendations of religion in the context of people's lives. Also in the field of crime prevention, by identifying children at risk, prevention programs can be designed based on religious teachings and implemented in society.
