The effectiveness of Satyr short-term family therapy on emotional malaise and emotional maturity in divorced couples
The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Satyr short-term family therapy on emotional malaise and emotional maturity in divorced couples.
The present study was a quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test with a two-month control and follow-up group; The statistical population of the present study included all couples seeking divorce referred to Omid Kashan Counseling Center in the second half of 1399, which after screening with Sink and Bahargava (1984) emotional maturity questionnaire and Toronto emotional malaise of 40 couples by sample Available samples were selected and randomly substituted in the experimental group of family therapy (10 pairs) and the control group (10 pairs). The experimental group underwent sterile intervention for eight sessions of 90 minutes and the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were analyzed using repeated measures mixed analysis of variance.
The results showed the effect of Satir family therapy intervention on emotional maturity (P = 0.001 and F = 180.40) and emotional malaise (P = 0.001, and F = 267.72) and the stability of this effect Was in the follow-up phase.
The results of this study suggest evidence that Satyr family therapy intervention is a suitable method to reduce emotional distress and also improve the stability of emotional maturity in spouses with marital problems.
