Investigating the effect of air pollution on citizens' health (Case study: areas 1 to 4 of Ahvaz)
Air pollution as a stressors can cause physical-behavioral, emotional and cognitive changes in a person. It may also have a direct destructive effect on a person's health, and by indirectly affecting a person's mental health, it may lead to mental satisfaction, decreased nervous function, decreased levels of mental health, and increased mental health problems. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of air pollution on the health of citizens in Ahvaz. This research was conducted in a field method and included areas one to four of Ahvaz city. For this purpose, a questionnaire measurement tool was used to collect information from 384 sample households, which was a multi-stage or combined sampling method. The results show that considering acute and chronic mental disorders which were more in Ahvaz region 3 than other regions, region 3 is most affected by air pollution on men and women and women are more psychologically than men. Infections are affected. Description of mental health data showed that pollution in the environment can cause symptoms of mental disorders such as physical symptoms of mental disorder, anxiety and sleep disorders, depressive symptoms and aggression in individuals and affect their social functioning.
