Evaluation of the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on psychosocial adjustment, cortisol and cognitive emotion regulation in patients with coronary heart disease
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy on psychosocial adjustment, cortisol levels and cognitive emotion regulation in patients with coronary heart disease.
For this purpose, 30 women from 30 to 50 years old with cardiovascular disease referred to Shahid Rajaei Hospital in Tehran were selected by convenience sampling method and According to the input criteria to the experimental and control groups (15 people in each group). Cognitive-behavioral testing received cognitivebehavioral therapy in 6 sessions and the control group did not receive any intervention.
The results of the data showed through repeated measures analysis of variance that cognitive-behavioral intervention on improving psychosocial adjustment, reducing cortisol in vascular patients Coronation of the heart and improvement of cognitive emotion regulation were significantly more effective than the control group in both post-test and follow-up stages.
Cognitivebehavioral therapy is effective in improving patients' psychosocial adjustment and has a significant effect on improving cognitive emotion regulation.
