Adolescence is a very sensitive period in terms of the onset and development of mental disorders. Among the disorders that are associated with negative social, health and behavioral consequences during this period are externalizing behavioral problems that are related to substance abuse. The main purpose of this study was to investigate externalizing behavior problems and attitudes toward drugs among grade male high school students. This research is a survey research. The study population was all male high school students in Shahrekord in the academic year of 2019-20, from which 300 students were selected using cluster random sampling. Data collection tools include the Achenbach Adolescents Self-Assessment Questionnaire (YSR) and the Students' Attitudes Towards Addiction Questionnaire. Chi-square test and Spearman rank correlation were used to analyze the data.
