Abstract:

Saif al-Din Bakharzi (586-659 AH) nicknamed Shaykh al-Islam was one of the Sufi elders and disciples and companions of the famous mystic, Najmuddin al-Kobra (540-618). Sheikh was the author of the work in verse and prose. From him, a treatise in persian means love and a collection of quatrains. The main question of this research is what are the characteristics of the quatrains attributed to him and what are their content? In response to this question, we have studied his quatrains in a descriptive and analytical manner and explored the stylistic and content characteristics of his quatrains. Some of his quatrains have been published in the collection of quatrains of Abu Sa'id Abu al-Khair, Khayyam. Many Sufis have mentioned his quatrains in their books, which show the importance of his position in this type of poetry. The content of his quatrains is romantic and mystical (love, mysticism, sadness) along with Khayyami's thoughts. Most of Sheikh's quatrains are four rhymes, and there are lexical antiquities and beautiful combinations, imaginary forms and literary arrays, especially paradoxes in them.
