Evaluation of dimensions, factors and strategies of students' motivation in the educational programs of a military higher education center (separately for face-to-face, electronic and integrated programs)

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to evaluate the personal and environmental motivational factors and strategies adopted for the optimal promotion of educational programs of students of a military higher education center (separately for face-to-face, electronic and combined programs). This research was of applied type and was done by descriptive-survey method. The sample size includes 226 students of the military higher education center who were selected by stratified random sampling. Data collection tools are a researcher-made questionnaire in seven factors, two dimensions and 52 strategies (with 17 strategies of e-learning programs); Its validity was evaluated by content validity method and its reliability was evaluated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The method of analyzing research data is to use descriptive and inferential statistical indicators (One Sample T-Test and Friedman test). The results showed that the personal and environmental motivation strategies of the educational programs of the military higher education center studied according to the standard table of utility have a "relatively favorable" status but are lower than the hypothetical average of the research. Although among the seven strategies, the strategy of attitude with mean and standard deviation: 0.85 ± 3.22, has the highest desirability, but the strategies adopted by commanders and student staff (especially in the field of training of e-learning programs) with Mean and standard deviation: 0.63 ± 2.33, has the lowest utility. In order to eliminate the known damages, executive suggestions in the form of improvement programs were presented at the end of the article.
