Investigating the obstacles to the realization of political development in the second Pahlavi period
Political development can be considered as one of the important topics in political sociology, which aims to expand political participation and the involvement of individuals, groups, organizations and the masses in their own destiny and political life, and is one of the prominent features. It is considered a developed society. In political development, goals and ideals such as democracy, freedom, and human rights are considered. But political development in Iran has had certain ups and downs that make the history of political development different from other societies, especially Western societies. Using an analytical-descriptive method, this article seeks to address the main question: What are the obstacles to the realization of political development in the second Pahlavi period? It seems to see the state of civil society and the rentier nature of the government and the government's reliance on oil revenues, the authoritarian and authoritarian rule of the Shah and the instability of the country and the eradication of political parties in the second Pahlavi period and the lack of political development in that period. has it.
