Investigating the Relationship between Ethical Competence and Crisis Management with Emphasis on the Mediator Variable of Social Capital (Case Study: Urmia Police Commanding Staff)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between ethical competence and crisis management with emphasis on the mediator variable of social capital among police officers in Urmia. The purpose of this research is applied and considering the nature and manner of data collection is descriptive-survey. The statistical population includes all police command staff of Urmia city with a total of 750 men and 25 women. Morgan's correlation was used to calculate the statistical sample size. 254 males and 24 females were selected using simple random stratified sampling method, which were gender classes. Three standard questions were used to collect data from the statistical sample and to answer the research hypotheses. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to analyze the statistical data. Descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used to classify, summarize and describe statistical data. The results of factor analysis showed that there is a relationship between ethical competence and crisis management with emphasis on the mediator variable of social capital among the police command staff in Orumiyeh and the model has a good fit. On the other hand, the correlation matrix results showed a significant relationship between the components of moral competence (responsibility, forgiveness, integrity and compassion) with crisis management and social capital. Also, the correlation matrix between social capital components (structural, cognitive, and communication) with crisis management also shows the relationship between all components of social capital with crisis management. Finally, promotion of ethical competency components in staff was suggested to promote crisis management.
