CNG Fuel Location potential of Ahvaz Using Decision-Making Models and Geographic Information System

Abstract:

Sustainability of the projects is the major concern of developing in developing countries. It has been evident that development activities have a high potential to cause damage to the environment. The rapid growth of urbanization has led to more demand for vehicles, leading to more fuel consumption. Fuel location is one of the important centers, but at the same time, it is considered a hazardous facility. Choosing the right place for these facilities requires special attention at the initial stage of the project and is one of the most important aspects of success for any commercial project. Therefore, the main objective of this research is to find the location of natural gas fuels using GIS and decision making models in Ahwaz. The nature of the research applied theoretical and its method of study is descriptive-analytical. To achieve this goal, the map of effective criteria for locating the location of natural gas fuels such as road network, residential use, education, etc. was provided in ARC / GIS software. The Shannon entropy method and Suara method were used to determine the weight of criteria and prioritization and to determine the relationships between variables. Finally, by weight multiplication of each criterion in the prepared layer for each criterion and overlaying the layers, a final map of the appropriate locations for building fuel in Ahwaz city was prepared. The results of the final map indicate that the 1st and 5th regions lack fuel cell and these areas have the highest priority for the construction of new fuel stations. Then the Vikor method was prioritized between Ahwaz city areas. The results of this study show that the application of GIS spatial analysis as well as the Swara model, along with the Vikor model, makes more accurate the results of the decision and provides more precise location options.
