Assessing the institutional capacity for the perform of a smart city in the metropolis of Ahvaz

capacity for the realization of a smart city in the metropolis of Ahvaz and to rank its indicators. The research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method, which in assessing the status of components, the views of executive experts in institutions and organizations involved in the process of smartening the city has been used.The data collection tool is a researcher-made electronic questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale; In order to analyze the data, mean statistical tests, one-sample t-test and Friedman ranking were used using SPSS software. The statistical sample of this study is 380 samples that were selected by snowball sampling and supervised network.According to the research findings, the status of the institutional capacity for the realization of a smart city in the metropolis of Ahvaz is not appropriate, and among these, the peripheral components and smart governance are in a lower situation compared to other components. Also, based on the research findings, solutions in two categories of general solutions and solutions in the direction of components were proposed.
