Adverse effects of trafficking in Iran and strategies to deal with it
Trafficking as a problem causes many cultural, and social harms each country. Such that has caused the loss of human capital and gaining illegal, immoral, and illegitimate profits. In fact, this phenomenon has appeared since the first financial transaction between human kind, and in each era due to the interest of target market in a specific area, has used by criminals. So the smugglers for their needs as well as the supply and sale of additional products have been forced to carry out commercial relations and on the other side, has been trying to expand commercial dealings with the States, which was in order to earn money and provide financial resources and apply their authority, applied provisions regarding the situation.Over time and with the advancement of technology, variety of products, tools of transportation, and the culture of consumerism between the people and on the other hand of international sanctions imposed against countries in the current era the phenomenon of trafficking has increased among some people and even governments involved with sanctions, that is in order to meet the its domestic and frequent needs. In any case, because of the consequences of this phenomenon in the long run which is a disadvantage in the target country which leads to a movement in governments that force them to deal with this issue by laying a coherent law. Sometimes the importance of some of these smuggles is so that an international movement starts to deal with this phenomenon. In Iran, however, since the entry and exit of goods and foreign currency is free there is no smuggling with the current definition, but The State approved and applied the “Penal Code of trafficking criminals”.
